Notice Special Board Meeting 19 May

We shall be conducting a special executive board meeting on 19 May 2025 19hr00, American Legion Post 36,1291 Oakwood Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Agenda download here

Per the Illinois Open Meetings Act, it shall be open to the public. There shall be public comments near the start of the meeting (Please keep comments to 3 minutes). 

Then the meeting shall go into a closed session either after 30 minutes of public comment or sooner if there are no further public comments.  

Those that are NOT delegates to the Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County shall to asked to leave the building until the conclusion of the closed session (we expect ½ hour to 45 minutes in closed session. DELEGATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Please see the delegate roster. Delegates shall not comment during the closed board meeting (reason: it is an executive meeting, not a membership meeting). Comments may be addressed after the regular meeting is rejoined. (see delegate roster)
