Counsel, advise, guide, assist and generally help veterans (and their families), that live within Cook County Illinois, in obtaining benefits and services that are available to them by local, county, state and federal organizations. The VACCC will also help direct them to the appropriate resources and provide educational material that would be beneficial to the veteran and their family.
Investigates and conducts interviews with veterans and their dependents to obtain a comprehensive case history in order that eligibility for assistance can be determined.
Communicates with representatives of other local, state, and national agencies to determine status or explain circumstances for assistance.
VACCC office and will be the primary liaison with other veteran service agencies, Collaborative members and their partners.
