U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs – National Women Veterans Program

Promotes and coordinates healthcare services specifically designed for women Veterans across the United States. The program helps women Veterans access comprehensive VA healthcare, provides education about available benefits and services, and connects Veterans with Women's Health Program Managers at their local VA medical facilities to coordinate care.

Basic Eligibility

• o Women Veteran eligible for VA healthcare services
• o No additional program-specific eligibility requirements are published

Jesse Brown VA Medical Center – Women's Health Program

Provides comprehensive primary, preventive, and specialty healthcare for women Veterans throughout Chicago and the surrounding region. Services include women's primary care, gynecology, maternity care coordination, reproductive healthcare, breast health, preventive screenings, mental health services, and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) care through an integrated healthcare team.

Basic Eligibility

• o Eligible woman Veteran enrolled in or eligible for VA healthcare

Common Documentation Requested

• o Government-issued photo identification
• o Veteran identification or proof of military service (if not already enrolled)
• o Health insurance information (if applicable)

Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital – Women's Health Program

Provides comprehensive women's healthcare for eligible Veterans throughout the western suburbs of Chicago and the greater Cook County region. Services include primary care, gynecology, preventive screenings, reproductive healthcare, maternity care coordination, breast health, mental health services, and specialty referrals.

Basic Eligibility

• o Eligible woman Veteran enrolled in or eligible for VA healthcare

Common Documentation Requested

• o Government-issued photo identification
• o Veteran identification or proof of military service (if not already enrolled)
• o Health insurance information (if applicable)

Cook County Health – Women's Health Services

Provides comprehensive women's healthcare services for residents of Cook County regardless of their ability to pay. Services include primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, prenatal care, breast health, family planning, cancer screenings, behavioral health services, and specialty medical care through its network of hospitals and community health centers.

Basic Eligibility

• o Services are available to Cook County residents.
• o Individual programs and financial assistance may have separate eligibility requirements.

Common Documentation Requested

• o Government-issued photo identification
• o Proof of residency (for some programs)
• o Health insurance information (if applicable)
• o Income documentation may be requested for financial assistance programs
