U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs – National Military Sexual Trauma Support

Provides information, education, and referrals for Veterans who experienced sexual assault or sexual harassment during military service. The program connects Veterans with local MST Coordinators and VA facilities that offer free, trauma-informed medical and mental health services related to Military Sexual Trauma.

Basic Eligibility

• o Veterans and, in some cases, former service members who experienced Military Sexual Trauma during military service.
• o No VA disability rating or service connection is required to receive MST-related care.

Common Documentation Requested

• o No documentation is required to speak with an MST Coordinator or inquire about available services.
• o Individual VA medical facilities may request standard identification when enrolling in healthcare services.

Jesse Brown VA Medical Center – Military Sexual Trauma Program

Provides confidential, trauma-informed medical and mental healthcare for Veterans who experienced Military Sexual Trauma during their military service. Services include counseling, mental health treatment, primary care, care coordination, and referrals to specialized healthcare providers based on each Veteran's individual needs.

Basic Eligibility

• o Veteran or former service member who experienced Military Sexual Trauma during military service.
• o Veterans do not need a VA disability rating or service-connected condition to receive MST-related care.

Common Documentation Requested

• o Government-issued photo identification
• o Veteran identification or proof of military service (if not already enrolled in VA healthcare)

Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital – Military Sexual Trauma Program

Provides confidential medical care, counseling, mental health treatment, and care coordination for Veterans affected by Military Sexual Trauma. Services are delivered by trained healthcare professionals using a trauma-informed approach and may include referrals to additional specialty care when appropriate.

Basic Eligibility

• o Veteran or former service member who experienced Military Sexual Trauma during military service.
• o Veterans do not need a VA disability rating or service-connected condition to receive MST-related care.

• o Government-issued photo identification
• o Veteran identification or proof of military service (if not already enrolled in VA healthcare)
